In addition to the experience and qualifications listed here, many of
our people are actively involved in our communities serving as
board-members for various non-profit organizations and charities.
Travis Howard, President, is a graduate of Sul Ross State University and TSTI. Travis is the future of this company, having taken over as president and is active in all facets of the property and casualty claim handling.
Joe Cooney is a native West Texan. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and in the past, served as claim manager for Crawford and Company and Trinity Universal Insurance Group. Joe has been with Permian Claim Service since 1991 and his 37 years of experience in all phases of claim handling is invaluable.
Bobby McAden is also a native West Texan. He attended SMU, majoring in Biology and Chemistry. He has been an adjuster since 1973, and is experienced in all phases of claim handling. Bobby has been with Permian Claim Service since 1989.
Sherman Smith, is a native West Texan. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA degree. His basic training was with Employers Casualty Company where he stayed for 12 years. He was also the risk manager for Yale E. Key, Inc., where he received extensive experience in the handling of oilfield equipment and related casualty investigations.
David Cherry is a native of Odessa. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Permian Basin with a BS degree in Engineering. David started with Permian Claim Service in 1992 as a workers' compensation adjuster specializing in working with self-insureds and governmental entities.
All of the above personnel are licensed by the State of Texas. Of the above personnel, we have seven auto appraisers, nine property adjusters, seven workers' compensation adjusters, nine inland marine adjusters, eight casualty adjusters, three qualified truck appraisers, three fidelity and surety adjusters, and four experienced oil field equipment appraisers.
Leslie Cherry, is our corporate treasurer and Office Manager/Accountant. She has been with Permian Claim Service since 1980.
Tina Newman takes care of controlling medical costs and evaluating bills for worker compensation guidelines.
Tamera Bryan handles our word processing and has a total of 19 years experience.
